General Auditions

During our Winter Season, OperaNJ produces world-class opera featuring international talent at several venues throughout New Jersey.  Our Winter Opera is performed at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton (1100 seats) and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark (2600 seats). 

Recent talent has hailed from The Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, Lyric Opera of Chicago, New York City Opera, San Francisco Opera, Washington National Opera, Seattle Opera, English National Opera, Scottish Opera, Portland Opera, San Diego Opera, Vienna State Opera, Berlin State Opera and Opéra National de Paris, among others.

OperaNJ hears singers on a rolling basis once in the spring and again in the fall in NYC and Chicago.  If you would like to be considered for upcoming repertoire, please submit your materials through your agent representative to info@OperaNJ.org.  Additionally, because OperaNJ often casts Summer Season Guest Artists from these agent-represented singers, we encourage you to inquire about future year round casting needs.

Opera New Jersey is currently looking for a young male or female soprano between the ages of 12 and 18 to sing the role of the Shepherd in our February production of Tosca.
